Summer Itinerary: 3 Days of Exploration and Rejuvenation at Chalets Hygge

Created by: Marie-Joelle & Maxime of @TheStorytellers_MTL

The summer season is back, and so are its many pleasures and Chalets Hygge is the perfect place to enjoy it.

Walks in nature, aperitifs on the patio, dinners on the BBQ or reading break in the hammock, you will not miss any options to rest and replenish your energy in the heart of the Eastern Townships this summer! We therefore offer you a summer itinerary bringing together some of our favorite activities for a 3-day stay in our haven of peace!

To the adventure!

Day 1 - Discover the local gastronomy

To start your stay at Chalets Hygge in force, we suggest you stock up on local provisions to concoct a summer dinner with the flavors of the region.

  • Before arriving, stop along the way to explore the vineyards of the famous wine route and discover the cream of Quebec viticulture. Among our favorites, we suggest the sweet rosé from Union Libre or one of their famous fire ciders, perfect to accompany a gourmet aperitif or a dinner on the grill.
  • A visit to the Atelier du Pain, less than 15 minutes drive from the chalets, will also allow you to pick up delicious cheeses, fresh breads, local meats as well as decadent desserts to complement the meals of your stay.

Then, to end your foodie, take a trip to Bleu Lavande to transport you to Provence and bring you back a jar of lavender honey!

  • This is the perfect opportunity to stroll through their magnificent fields, in full bloom during the summer and sip a flavored tea while admiring the colorful landscape.
  • Do not leave either without visiting their interactive room, created in collaboration with Moment Factory, as well as their facilities to learn more about the culture of lavender in Quebec.

Day 2 - Immerse in the forest and in the light

To fill up on fresh air in nature, there are plenty of choices near Chalets Hygge. In addition to the sublime Parc du Mont-Orford and Owl's Head, the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, a 40-minute drive away, is a perfect place to explore the surrounding nature while checking off an item on your bucket list

In fact, you can cross the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America!

Four green paths, totaling more than 19 kilometers, bordered by many magnificent viewpoints await you. With family, lovers or friends, this is an essential activity to add to your itinerary during your visit to the Eastern Townships.

We also recommend a sweet stop at the Coaticook dairy to enjoy one of the best ice creams in Quebec!

If you plan to stay in the area in the evening, you can also experience the night course of Foresta Lumina where legends and magic will be at the rendezvous.

Then end the evening at Canton Brasse to taste the best artisanal brewing creations in the region, right next to the chalets.
